Some things to consider while trimming the main (using the MS traveler) on the Hobie Wave: * When the air picks up over 15, moving the traveler out while sheeted in will make the Wave run flatter while increasing speed considerably. Also controls (limits) mast rotation. Maintains a flatter, more powerful sail shape (less air spillage off of the top) combined with extreme mast rake moves the power more to the stern (critical on the Wave as the mast is very far forward). Tremendous increase in speed while reducing the tendency to pitchpole. * Sheeting out while traveler is pulled to center enables the hull to fly much easier. Less powerful but more fun if you want to "fly"! Note: When setting up the shrouds and forestay for "block to block" mast rake, make sure it is not "too" easy to pull the mainsheet block to block. Look up at the top of the sail. When forcing block to block, the leech should become tight and the main sail should flatten just before the blocks touch. This will guarantee that you will be able to power up the main completely without running out of travel on the mainsheet. If blocks touch before leech is tight, air will spill off the top 30% of the sail reducing control. It is usually the difference of "1 hole" on the adjusters.\ This is strictly my experience with the Wave.

I'm looking to get a traveller and have themast raked back as far as possible. How long are your shrouds?
Thanks
