This might be it! A little pricey(about twice the cost) but lighter, significantly more advanced technologically, much more power and more versatile! Just a dynamite little boat! Every day I come back to this post and am completely overwhelmed with excitement with this find. If you read the other posts I have made about no offerings from "anyone" of a solo sailable, rotomolded for durability, lightweight "A" style cat that is geared for the "performance sailor", you will quickly realize the significance of this boat. It is "exactly" what I've been hoping for! Here's a review: www.yachtsandyachting.co.uk/boat-reviews/boat-tests/topaz-14-review/Info Link: www.topazsailboats.com/topaz-cats/topaz-cat14cx/

A couple of months ago a guy contacted me about setting up a larger than factory jib for the wave like I have done. I told him about this boat and he was able to get a deal on the Topaz and bought a demo model after we discussed how under powered and heavy the Wave is. Waiting to hear from him once the season gets under way. Can't wait to hear his thoughts.

Well better late than never. I am the Guy who bought the Topaz 14. I like to think of my boat as a Wave on Steroids. I Am 66 and yet can move this very light boat all over the beach. Performance is great single handed but for day sailing can certainly take a moderate size crew.
But Thru no fault of the boat I am going to sell my 2011 Topaz 14.
1) Very light weight laminate hulls
2) excellent cond Gav Trailer
3) Spinnker
4) roller furling jib
5) Double Trap setup
6) Fully adjustable hiking stick
7) Boat and trailer are registered
8) turtle preventing air bag
