At my yacht club I do not have the luxury of landing on a sandy beach so the only options are the concrete ramp for the sailing school and the adjacent rocky shore. I understand the hulls are tough but I will always be guilty of babying my boat so I've come up with two simple things to lessen damaging the hull.
The first is a simple snap shackle connecting the mainsheet to the rear cross bar. (No traveller) to depower the mainsail but still provides easy access to the mainsheet if its needed. Once releasing the shackle I sit on the front cross bar with my feet in the water to act as a brake and of course to step onto the ramp BEFORE the hulls make contact. To avoid grinding I place a 10' 2x6 underneath the hulls.

Great idea TS! It's the same dilemma I face as well at one of the lakes I sail on. Nice!
