I have bad scratches where the previous owner left the boat unattended at a dock or on the shore and it has very rough spots in places on the hulls. There is staining as well. What would you guys suggest to clean it up. Maybe Jim can help here as he did a full resto' on his wave and it looks beautiful. Thanks in advance!

The car wash (hand held pressure wand) does pretty good for just general dirt, but be careful and don't blast your decals off of the hulls. This should do a good job cleaning the tramp too. The Magic Eraser seems to work the best for cleaning stains off of the hulls. It takes stuff off pretty easily without a lot of scrubbing too. I had one place on one of my hulls where the Magic Eraser didn't completely remove a stain, and I used Bar Keepers Friend there. Bar Keepers Friend is a product similar to Comet (and it comes in a can like Comet), but it's finer so it doesn't scratch. It may just slightly dull the finish, so test a small area first. Either one of these products should be at your local grocery store.
Bar Keepers Friend also works great on stainless steel (rub with the grain), and the Magic Eraser works great for cleaning the shower.
I don't think there's much we can do about scratches. You can carefully trim off any plastic sticking up on the hulls (deeper scratched areas) with a sharp knife.
Hope that helps, Jim

Thanks J! That's where I'll start. She's pretty ratty!
